Eran Pick, CEO The proliferation of e-commerce into virtually every market sector is creating significant opportunities for retailers but new challenges as well. “One of the biggest challenges in ecommerce is managing the separate aspects of listing, marketplace content management, pricing, shipping and order management,” says Eran Pick, CEO of Solid Commerce, one of the industry’s leading ecommerce management platforms and winner of a 2015 CIO Award. Headquartered in Marina Del Rey, CA, Solid Commerce provides a single, robust platform that integrates marketplace listing, price syncing, shipping and order management functionality for retailers selling through Amazon, eBay and other online marketplaces.
“Solid Commerce was founded in 2008 to provide online retailers with the tools to manage and centralize ecommerce sales between their website and the marketplaces as well as all the order fulfillment functionality necessary to sell online. Today, our platform is processing more than a $1 billion of online orders a year across every major shopping cart and marketplace from Shopify, Big Commerce and Magento to Amazon, eBay, Sears.com and more than 10 other marketplaces,” says CEO Pick.
The Solid Commerce platform enables ecommerce companies to manage multiple aspects of their ecommerce operations including bulk listing of products to marketplaces like Amazon and eBay, price syncing between a company’s website and a site like Amazon, managing orders between different fulfillment centers and creating an automatic, robust process for printing pick and pack orders, packing slips and even printing shipping labels from all the major carriers.
CEO Pick says that as a result of its domain expertise helping connect retailers to the marketplaces, Solid Commerce has developed offerings specifically tailored to eCommerce companies in three stages of their lifecycle. “For retailers new to selling on the marketplaces, we have a bulk listing engine that helps companies take that first step to selling online. This means a company can bulk upload 500 or 50,000 to a site like Amazon and start selling almost immediately. For mature eCommerce retailers who require more advanced price syncing, shipping and order management functionality, Solid Commerce provides a complete platform providing them with deeper rule-based automation; and for multi-million dollar retailers seeking to sell on the online marketplaces, Solid Commerce serves as a middleware layer helping connect large ERP systems like NetSuite or SAP to marketplaces like Amazon, eBay and others.”

Solid Commerce offers variety of price management options that can be used to continually control and change prices on the marketplaces, through their intelligent, automatic repricing software.
Pick spoke of a leading perfume manufacturer who approached Solid Commerce with the target of bringing greater automation to their ecommerce operations. The company was manually re-pricing their products across different marketplaces and found the process to be overwhelming. They were also having difficulty managing orders that were being fulfilled from three different distribution centers. Solid Commerce implemented their full-solution, with minimal resources. Six months after the implementation, the client reported their sales had doubled and had reduced their overhead by about 10 people, all with improved efficiency.
Making an indelible mark in the world of ecommerce, Solid commerce continues to add more functions and more marketplace integrations to its platform. “At the end of the day, we strive to take the complexity of eCommerce and make it simple, manageable and efficient. That is our core mission,” concludes Pick.
